Service Calls
Our service techs are NORA-certified and have years of experience in diagnosing and repairing heat, hot water, and combustion problems. Service is available 365 days a year, including holidays.
Free for Regular Customers
Service calls and an annual burner tune-up are FREE for regular, full-time fuel oil customers. Exceptions:
- Service calls for customers with dual-fuel commercial burners
- Service calls for customers who run out of oil because they are not on automatic delivery (or customers whose accounts have become past due) and need the boiler restarted after the delivery.
- New customers who require immediate repair services (e.g. $150 plus any parts needed, credited to your account if you become a regular, full-time fuel oil customer for at least a year)
Installing New Heating Equipment
While our focus is on service and repair, we are licensed to install new oil heating equipment (boilers, burners, hot water and oil storage tanks) when needed due to failed equipment, or when needed to improve efficiency for lower fuel consumption. We install most name brands of equipment, with extended warranty coverage for our regular full-time fuel oil customers.
Parts Replacement Coverage
While it’s not necessary, we do have an optional “Parts Replacement Contract” for those who prefer burner parts coverage – labor included. However, most customers do not need this option with Cohler, since we don’t charge for most service calls, and the major burner parts are quite reliable, especially when tuned-up yearly.
NYC Boiler Inspections
New York City requires annual boiler inspections for properties over six units and properties that are for commercial or mixed use. Our aim is to ensure a safe running unit that complies with NYC code. Since we are mechanically trained, our inspections deal with safety issues often overlooked by others, and our fees are quite reasonable.
